One of the benefits to living in Florida is how easy I can commute across the state. For years, my family and I have been visiting Palm Beach and quickly grew to love this part of South Florida.

Palm Beach quickly has become my favorite little oasis in Florida (besides my hometown, Vero Beach, of course). If you’ve ever visited, then you know how quaint, relaxing and stunning this town can be.

I thought I would share a few of my favorite, go-to spots in the Palm Beach area. Whether I’m there for a quick day visit or weekend stay, Palm Beach has it all.

EAT

Pizza Al Fresco

My go-to restaurant for a light lunch in Palm Beach is classic Pizza Al Fresco. Nestled away on a via in Worth Avenue, this outdoor pizza place is a Palm Beach staple. Order a pie to enjoy with friends, al fresco style.

Surfside Diner

If I’m in the mood for an easy, classic American meal, I’ll stop by Surfside Diner. About 2 blocks north of Worth Avenue, this retro-style diner has everything. Hint: order the chocolate cake for dessert.

Sant Ambroeus

A classic from New York, Sant Ambroeus is a new addition to Palm Beach. I was excited to hear about their expansion into Florida; this cafe-style restaurant is my go-to in Manhattan or the Hamptons. This pink-styled spot is the perfect place for a quick bite.

SHOP

Amanda Lindroth

Inspired by her Bahamian lifestyle, Amanda Lindroth’s pieces are quintessential island life. As an avid lover of anything rattan home decor, this store has my heart. There’s something so fun about rattan wraps cocktail glasses that you’ll just have to see for yourself.

Aerin

Founded by the granddaughter of Estee Lauder (an esteemed, longtime resident of Palm Beach), Aerin is a staple on Worth Avenue. Her boutique is complete with home and style decor inspired by this area’s way of living.

Restoration Hardware

Whether I’m on my way to Palm Beach or on my way out, I love to make a stop by the new Restoration Hardware house. It’s a one-of-its-kind grandiose building, and the inside is even more stunning. There’s no better place to gather interior design inspiration!

VISIT

Worth Avenue

No trip to Palm Beach is complete without a stop at this world-famous outdoor shopping destination. Worth Avenue runs about 5 blocks, ending right at the seaside (how dreamy is that?). The street itself boasts high end labels to local boutiques that have been around for ages. My favorite part are the little “vias” that branch off the main road; go explore them to find more stores tucked hidden away.

Royal Poinciana Plaza

Perhaps the newest addition to the area, and continuously expanding, the Royal Poinciana Plaza is an outdoor (but covered) modern shopping and restaurant venue. Window shop in Hermes and Saint Laurent before dining at New-York-based Sant Ambroeus.

Society of the Four Arts

If you’re looking for a little culture (and nature, too), head over to the Society of the Four Arts. Squeezed right in the hustle and bustle of Palm Beach, this quiet outdoors park is expertly manicured and perfectly photogenic. Come here to relax from all that shopping and dining to hear the mockingbirds sing.

STAY

The Breakers

If you’re looking for an iconic hotel to stay in the area, this is it. This hotel is impressively grand but maintains its classic charm with accommodating staff and an attention to detail. There is a small shopping plaza located on The Breakers grounds, along with several pools and a highly rated golf course. Placed steps from the beach (you can hear the waves crashing in your room), you may never need to leave.

The Colony Hotel

Situated next to Worth Avenue and only a block from the beach, this hotel is perfect for shoppers and beach-goers alike based on location alone. However, what I love most about this hotel is the style. Standing tall in a baby pink blush, this building sure likes to stick out. Inside, the decor is inspired by vintage island decor, complete with banana leaf printed wallpaper.
