J Crew field jacket, Zara dress (old), Del Toro leopard slippers, Chloe marcie crossbody, J Crew belt
We finally got a touch of cooler weather in Florida for a few days last week and it was amazing. But now it’s warming back up again. Yes, it may almost be November, but my weather app thinks it’s hilarious to say Florida is feeling 80 degrees out. Come on, man. Don’t be a party pooper.
So, mid-season dressing is a consistent battle of dressing for the month or dressing for the weather. And, while I’d rather be cool and comfortable in my cutoffs than sweating in an unnecessary blanket scarf because it’s #FALL, I’m getting a little tired of my summer wardrobe. Cue the layers.
This J Crew field jacket is a clear favorite of mine, for many reasons. The forest green color adds that fall feeling to any look but isn’t too warm to wear with this flowy T-shirt dress from Zara. Add a pair of smoking slippers and say goodbye to your over-worn summer dress and hello to something new!
I’ll definitely be wearing variations of this look all through November until I can break out my jeans and sweaters closer to the holidays. On a sidenote, who else is excited for Halloween? Normally, it’s not my favorite holiday, but this year I’ve been extra excited to carve some pumpkins, bake yummy goodies for my friends and watch Halloweentown on repeat!
Have a great week, everybody!
