Lately I have been obsessing over embroidered pieces. There’s something about embroidery that says “warm sunshine-filled long days spent outside soaking it all up”! I think I am just ready to fully embrace spring! For the past few weeks, I have been collecting items with embroidery from all over, when I stumbled upon this top. You wouldn’t believe where it’s from!

top / jeans (my all-time favorite!) / shoes / bag (vintage, similar)

I love this piece because it can actually be worn two different ways: a smocked round neckline (perfect for the casual office!), like I have it styled above, or pulled down off the shoulder to be a little more dressy. The elastic band around the neckline is super stretchy and comfortable yet stays put when worn off the shoulder, which means no worrying about slipping or digging into your arms.

A few of my favorite stores that I have found some great pieces with embroidery have been Target, J Crew (and J Crew Factory), H&M, and Zara. I love saving money on trendy clothes so I can try out a new style without shelling out a lot of money. What do you think of the embroidery trend? Is this one here to stay? I think so!
